I had the pleasure to help Animade with quite a few sketching sessions for Facebook.
It's always an enjoyable experience being surrounded by so many like-minded people who are also extremely talented.
The sketching work involved a series of explorations for the Facebook wordmark, alongside a few illustrations for specific screens of the app.

MLK Day Workmark
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an extremely important day not only in the US but in the entire world. It was quite important for me to show how, united, humankind can be stronger and happier.
As with many of my illustrations, this wordmark concept was achieved with a 3-step approach. First the black and white sketches, then a colour script to block the main shapes, and finally, the complete illustration.
Veterans Day Wordmark
Veterans Day is an annual holiday in the United States to honor military veterans who have served in the US Armed Forces. This gave me the opportunity to explore how life in the military not only affect those who choose to take it, but those that stay behind longing for them.
